Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, or CTE, is a brain disorder linked to repeated head injuries. CTE is often associated with severe mental health issues and cognitive decline, and has been found to be prevalent among NFL players. In this animated explainer, Eric Chernaev breaks down the causes of CTE and explores potential solutions to enhance player safety on the field.
