Concussions are a common occurrence, especially during football season. The symptoms of this injury can range from completely manageable to life-threatening. So, what exactly is going on inside your brain when you experience a concussion? In this animated explainer, Dr. Nicholas Murray, Director of the Neuromechanics Lab at the University of Nevada, Reno, explains the science behind concussions, as well as how important it is to get evaluated and treated for this injury as early as possible.
