Broadening Horizons: UNR Nursing Students in Cambodia

Spring 2025

Students from the Orvis School of Nursing at UNR visited Southern Cambodia to take part in an international knowledge and culture exchange at Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital. Journalism student Kat Fulwider ’25 documented this inaugural exchange program in a StoryMap and article for NevadaToday.

Travel Reporting: Costa Rica 2025

Spring 2025

During spring break, 15 students from the Reynolds School visited La Selva Biological Station as part of the Hitchcock Project’s new Travel Reporting course, in partnership with Spanish language media project Noticiero Móvil. Students produced multimedia stories documenting new research and existing environmental challenges in a diverse rainforest environment.

Spring 2025

Two short films by Kat Fulwider follow along in the field and laboratory with volcanologist Phillip Ruprecht, Ph.D., as he and a team from the University of Nevada, Reno explore the geology of Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Spring 2024
