Mining industry turns to drones for safer search and rescue

What do drones and video games have in common? Both are being used to figure out ways to keep people safer in the mining industry.

Dr. Kostas Alexis is a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. He and his team are researching autonomous drones for the purpose of mine safety and underground exploration.
